What the outcomes mean
Expired. The deal ran its course and the team let him go.
Signed 2nd 10-day. The team kept him for a second 10-day. That is the limit: after the second, it is the rest of the season or goodbye.
Signed rest of season / multi-year deal. The team converted him to a standard contract.
Terminated early. The team released him before the ten days were up. He is still paid in full, and the team cannot re-sign him until the original term would have ended.
Whatever the outcome, the money a 10-day paid stays on the team’s cap and tax payroll for the rest of the season.
